Like every year, the grandes fêtes de Pentecôte happened last weekend in Cazères. Again the 4 days were full of life and events: fun fair, concerts, bodega, fireworks, competitions… and most of all the famous flower parade! This event is called Fêtes des fleurs in French.
During that afternoon, flower-decorated floats are parading and competing, surrounded by orchestra players and dancers. At the end of that parade, we even witnessed an impressive confetti fight between the floats and the jury.
The colourful flowers from the floats are far from wasted: every person of the public take its share home and make nice bouquets. The flowers I collected are now giving colour and life to my home 🙂
Bravo to the comité des fêtes who organised this beautiful event and to all participants, including the competition winners, les irréductibles bipèdes. And a big thanks to the sun that shone all day long 🙂
