Emilie and Cédric got married this winter, with a small gathering of people: their little boy, close family and friends, and their baby to come still in Emily’s belly.
I started photographing their day while they were both getting ready at home. To keep an effect of surprise, they had decided to not see each other before the ceremony and to discover each other’s beautiful outfits at the town hall. That meant a lot of organisation at home, to not bump into each other in the hallway or the different rooms, while they were getting ready and taking care of the last minute wedding plans. A beautiful proof that everything is possible! Even in the restlessness and the comings and goings of everyone, Emilie and Cédric always kept their calm, their smile and their humour!
The ceremony was at the town hall of Miremont, near Toulouse, where the two lovebirds exchanged their vows between laughter and tears. Their super good idea was to end the ceremony with a special ritual. Each of their witnesses poured a few drops of fruit juice from four different bottles labelled «Happiness», «Love», «Future» and «Humour». This mix was then shaken by Cédric, and drunk by the bride and groom from elegant glasses.
Next step: the beautiful countryside of Ariège! To be more precise, in a charming country holiday cottage near Mas d’Azil. We made the most of the last moments with daylight to create beautiful portraits of the newlyweds and family pictures. Then it was time for the reception indoors.
Emilie and Cédric proved that it’s possible to do a beautiful wedding while staying simple and spontaneous. And doing it in the middle of winter!
Winter is actually not a bad idea for weddings: a very soft light, some pastel colours, a weather that stays quite mild in the South of France, and a better availability of your wedding suppliers!
Here are a few images of the winter wedding of Emilie and Cédric. The list of wedding suppliers can be found after the photos.
Thanks to both of you Emilie and Cédric for this beautiful day! Again all my congratulations!
